Philosophy
The basis of my style as a psychotherapist and astrologer is conversational, creative, philosophical and steered by each client’s specific experiences and desires. I am a licensed psychotherapist (LCSW) and rooted in narrative and transpersonal therapy modalities, supported by modern and traditional astrology.
I've been enamored with astrology since I was 12 years old, perusing late 90s maximally decorated, twinkling websites with novel-length cosmic research. My interest in art developed along a very similar timeline, but the two always coalesced under a primary interest in people — our relationships to each other and the world around us.
We do not exist separate from the structures we live within - many of which are wholly unsupportive - which is why it is important for me to utilize a holistic perspective that challenges linear notions of success and failure, and instead focuses on the unique ways in which our character and strengths evolve.
Background
I come from an art background as both an artist myself and having worked in the art world for several years. As of 2022, I operate a Psychotherapy and Astrology private practice based in Los Angeles. I previously worked at Blue Oak Therapy Center, a sliding scale clinic in Berkeley; as well as a school social work intern at New Design High School in Manhattan and in The Rosemary Furman Counseling Center at Barnard College.
I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Master of Social Work from Columbia University specializing in clinical social work for health, mental health, and disabilities.
